Charity & Community Work With Afrotherapy

Supporting our local community has always been important to Afrotherapy. Over the years, the salon and our team have supported a range of charities, fundraising campaigns and local causes, involving our staff, clients, friends and the wider community.

Here are some of the fundraising initiatives we have been involved in.

Think PINK for Breast Cancer Care

Every October, Afrotherapy gets involved with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, bringing a touch of pink to the salon while raising money for Breast Cancer Care.

Thank you to our clients and staff for their continued support and generosity, which helps us raise awareness and funds for this important cause.

Hair Raising Appeal With Afrotherapy Salon & Great Ormond Street Hospital

The Afrotherapy team has also supported Great Ormond Street Hospital through its HAIRraising appeal.

Several members of our team took part in a 5k run to raise funds for the appeal, which was raising money towards new operating theatres at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

A big thank you to everyone who sponsored our runners, including our clients, local businesses, friends and family. Their support helped us raise funds for an important cause.

Supporting Homeless People in Edmonton

Afrotherapy has also supported the work of the Homeless Resource Centre (HRC) in Edmonton, helping to raise funds for its work with people experiencing homelessness.

The HRC provides practical support, advice, counselling, training and a welcoming drop-in service for people who need it. Supporting organisations that provide this kind of practical help within the local community is something we are proud to have been involved with.
