Here's What You Need To When You Next Visit Afrotherapy Hair Salon....
We are so excited to reopen the salon following the Covid-19 lockdown.
Whilst we've been closed, we have made some changes to the way we operate in the salon - with your health and safety as a top priority.
Before you step through our salon doors, please familiarise yourself with the "new normal" at Afrotherapy Hair Salon, as outlined below.
Before Your Visit

Bookings
All online bookings will need to be confirmed.
Appointments can be made via telephone 020 8345 5621 or email salon@afrotherapy.com

Appointments Only
There will be no walk in appointments available.
Please do not try to enter the salon without an appointment.
Products can be purchased over the phone and collected at the salon door.

No Guests
Please help us to maintain social distancing in the salon andcome to your appointment alone.
(If you have a disability, you may be accompanied by your carer.)
When You Arrive

Arrive on Time
Please arrive on time to your appointment, our waiting area will be closed so you will have to wait outside.
If you are running late to your appointment please call ahead, but please be aware that we may have to reschedule your booking and you could be charged for your appointment.
A member of the team will come to collect you when we are ready for you.

Entering The Salon
When you enter the salon, we will take your temperature and you will be asked to sanitise your hands.

Your Belongings
Where possible we ask that you bring as few items as possible to your appointment.
We will ask you to hang up your own coat if possible.

For Your Safety
For added safety we continue to maintain social distancing between you and other clients
The salon has been deep cleaned and our air conditioning system has been flushed with anti-bacterial agent.
During Your Appointment

Refreshments
We will only be able to offer water in disposable cups whilst in salon and all ‘common touch’ items such as magazines have been removed.
You are welcome to bring your own refreshments and reading material.

PPE & Masks
The Afrotherapy team will be wearing appropriate PPE during your appointment.
They will wash and sanitise their hands before and after each client.
We will require all clients to wear a mask, these can be provided if necessary.

Consultations
Consultations will be carried out via the mirror to minimise face to face interaction.
We have placed sanitising stations throughout the salon for your use.
All workstations and equipment will be sanitised between each client.

Towels & Gowns
We will use single use items such as towels, gowns, capes on all clients and dispose of these immediately after the service.
Important Changes

Service Limitations
There are no current service restrictions. However, please do not bring other people with you to your appopintment unless you are a parent of a minor or a carer

Card Payments
Please us contactless methods of payment, such as Apple Pay, where possible instead of cash.
If you wish to tip your Afrotherap stylist, a non-contact cash method will be available.

Patch Test
If you haven't been to our Edmonton hair salon for a colour service for 6 months, or if there has been any recent changes to your medical history, we will require you to have a quick skin allergy test at least 48 hours prior to your appointment.

Getting You Back To You
Please be aware that you may be charged more than your usual appointment cost on your first visit after lockdown.
This is because we may need additional colour and time after so long between visits.

Offers & Discounts
All discounts and promotions will be on hold until further notice (with the exception of our NHS discount, which will remain).

Covid Symptoms
If you are feeling unwell or have been in contact with anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19, please call us as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment.
